1. Nonpharmacological Treatment:
Available data indicate that these treatments should be considered before pharmacological therapies are prescribed.

2. Pharmacological Treatment:
Pharmacotherapy for the treatment of BPSD should be evidence-based and should target specific syndromes that are clinically significant because of their frequency, pervasiveness, or impact on the patient.
